SunEdison to build the largest photovoltaic power plant, in Italy

Europe’s largest photovoltaic power plant will be build by SunEdison, in Italy, in March this year. The solar power plant will generate about 70MW of power, enough to power 17,000 homes.

According to the company, the new plant at Rovigo, between Bologna and Venice, is the largest single solar farm in Europe and will help in reducing carbon dioxide emissions by as much as 40,000 tons.
