Citroen Boite
Electric vehicles mean the opportunity for a completely new paradigm in vehicle architecture. Suspended from a simple external structure the body of the Citroen ‘Boite’ by James Brooks appears to float.
Using a similar configuration to that of cable suspended movie cameras, the main body could be controlled to give a seamlessly smooth ride. The quality of ride that the early 2CV and DS became famous for.
A symbolic severance from the irrelevant, overly masculine, aggressive and complex automotive architecture that mirrors the industry.
The ‘Boite’ is intended to represent a new honesty and simplicity in vehicle design.
