Boeing’s SUGAR Freeze- natural gas powered jet

This concept aircraft from Boeing that aims to revolutionize air travel, it runs on cryogenic liquified natural gas and has a fuel efficiency compared by the current generation of passenger jets by an amazing 60%!   Images credit Boeing

The new aircraft concept uses cryogenically stored liquified natural gas in a pair of unducted fan engines.

The SUGAR Freeze, which stands for Subsonic Ultra Green Aircraft Research, will be ready around 2035.
