Astronauts returned to Earth safely after 6 months
The Expedition 30 crew returned to Earth following a nearly six month stay aboard the International Space Station. The Soyuz TMA-22 spacecraft carrying Commander Dan Burbank of NASA, Russian Soyuz Commander Anton Shkaplerov and Flight Engineer Anatoly Ivanishin, landed safely in Kazakhstan on April 27, 2012.

Sutter’s Mill Meteorite
On Sunday April 22 at around 7:51 am a bright fireball meteor falling through skies over California and Nevada produced sonic booms. Estimates indicate the meteor was about the size of a big car.
