13th Century Church Converted to modern Library

This 13th century Dominican 1,200 square meter church is located in Maastricht, Holland, has been transformed by Merkx + Girod architectural firm, into a modern book store.

The old cathedral has been converted into a modern book store, in a project known as Selexyz Dominicanen Maastricht.

The architectural firm decided to build the multi story bookshelves vertically, due to the enormous height of the old structure.
