NASA Systems Engineering Simulator

Located at the Johnson Space Center in Houston, Texas, NASA‘s Systems Engineering Simulator (SES) is a real-time, crew-in-the-loop engineering simulator for the space station and other advanced programs.

The Simulator supports both crew training and engineering analysis of on-orbit operations where the human-machine interface is important.

Jacobs ESCG works with NASA’s Johnson Space Center in Houston in imagining, designing, and planning the missions of tomorrow..today. Jacobs employee Amy Efting works in this innovative and unique facility to visualize what it would be like to drive on the moon, dock with the International Space Station, or travel to an asteroid.

Her work with NASA impacts vehicle designs and sets up procedures for astronauts for future vehicles such as the Orion Crew Exploration Vehicle.
