Heartbeat of the earth (video)

An astonishing animation created by the Geophysical Fluid Dynamics Laboratory at the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (GFDL), showing how the surface temperature of the sea varies across the world throughout the year.

As the animation focuses on various locations of the world ocean we see the major current systems: Brazil current, Gulf Stream, the Agulhas current, Pacific Equatorial current, and more.
