Virgin Galactic first space tourism flight launching next year

Sir Richard Branson confirms Virgin Galactic‘s first space tourism flight will launch next year with him on board.

That trip will be made with the SpaceShipTwo craft, which is capable of flying just over 60 miles above the Earth and has already completed a number of test flights.

529 individuals have already signed up to take the US$200,000, 96-km high trip, with SS2 spaceship, for a planned two and a half hour flight with five minutes of weightlessness.
