Wringing out Water on the ISS – for Science
CSA Astronaut Chris Hadfield performed a simple science experiment on Space Station, designed by grade 10 Lockview High School students Kendra Lemke and Meredith Faulkner. Great Sandy Desert- Australia
The Great Sandy Desert in northwest Australia, holds great geological interest as a zone of active sand dune movement. While a variety of dune forms appear across the region, this astronaut photograph features many linear dunes (about 25 meters high) separated in a roughly regular fashion (0.5 to 1.5 kilometers apart).

New ISS Eyes See Rio San Pablo
The image above is the “first light” from the new ISERV camera system, taken at 1:44 p.m. local time on February 16, 2013. It shows the Rio San Pablo as it empties into the Golfo de Montijo in Veraguas, Panama.
