New huge Dust Storm hit Phoenix
It’s the third major dust storm that has hit the Phoenix, Arizona metropolitan area since July 5. The billowing cloud of dust was about a half mile (0.8 kilometer) high and 50 to 55 miles (80 to 88 kilometers) wide.
Dust wall over Phoenix
For the second time this month, a wall of dust moved through the Phoenix area. The dust wall, which was estimated at 3,000 feet high, and created winds of 25 to 30 mph, with gusts of up to 40 mph.
