9000 Sand Drawings commemorate the fallen on D-day 1

The British sand artist Jamie Wardley and Andy Moss of Sand in your eye, helped by many volunteers on the beaches of Normandy with rakes and hand, created 9,000 Sand Drawings commemorate the fallen on D-day.

Every year on September 21, Day of Peace – one of the major international festivals, held a variety of peacekeeping activities.

This year, one of the largest project was «The Fallen» by Sand in your eye. 9,000 silhouettes on the beach of Arromanches in France – a reminder of the tragic D-Day landings in Normandy during World War II.
