A laser camera that sees around corners

Scientists at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology in Cambridge have found a way to see around corners. They have created a camera which can do that by using lasers.

The technique is much like to using a mirror in order to see round a corner. Instead of a mirror, the ‘reflection’ is reproduced from laser light.

This video shows how scientists at the MIT Media Lab (www.media.mit.edu/) reconstruct a hidden object using scattered laser light.
