The Lockheed SR-71 “Blackbird” was developed as a black project from the Lockheed A-12 reconnaissance aircraft in the 1960s by the Lockheed Skunk Works.

The Blackbird at the San Diego Air Museum is an A-12, not an SR-71. Also, the second photo from the top is an M-21. It carried the D-21 drone. Looks like the photo was taken at the museum and cropped onto an ocean background.
