DARPA‘s AlphaDog by manufacturer Boston Dynamics, could soon become a soldier’s best friend, autonomously following them across the battlefield and carrying their equipment. Watch the video

AlphaDog codenamed LS3 is a four-legged, autonomous robot that can follow a soldier, can walk for 20 miles without a break and carry up to 400 pounds.
Here is one of the firm’s other robot named “Cheetah“.
Field testing of the DARPA Legged Squad Support System (LS3), to demonstrate that a legged robot can unburden dismounted squad members by carrying their gear, autonomously following them through rugged terrain, and interpreting verbal and visual commands.
