Californian officials have just approved the construction of a high-speed bullet train, that links LA and San Francisco in two hours and 38 minutes. The 400-mile drive will be America’s first high-speed intrastate rail line.

California High-Speed Rail Authority has been developing the 68-billion USD project for over 10 years, and now the service could begin in 2018.
“The Legislature took bold action today that gets Californians back to work and puts California out in front once again,” said Governor Brown.
