Light from an amazing display of the Aurora Borealis fills the sky—and lends a hue of green to the spring snow—over Vee Lake, located outside Yellowknife, Northwest Territories. Photographer Dave Brosha
what time did you snap this gorgeous photo? I’m reading about the solar flare and curious to what folks see of aurora borealis tonight? thanks for your posts and photos! ~ Joanne
Thank you for the complements.
I have to admit that I am not the one who took the picture. (National Geographic – Photograph by Dave Brosha).
The “Northern Lights”, at their most dazzling from December to March when nights are longest and the sky darkest, can usually be seen even as far south as Juneau. http://fairbanks-alaska.com/northern-lights-alaska.htm
