The Brighton i360, an aerodynamic pod rising to a maximum height of 138 meters, capable of accommodating up to 200 people, designed by Marks Barfield architects, who conceived and designed the London Eye.
The cost will be £35 million and the completion is expected on summer 2016.
With its new i360 tower, Brighton too will be a city that can be experienced from on high. We believe that like London, Paris or New York, Brighton has amazing panoramas that have yet to be discovered: miles and miles of bright blue sea; the tiny labyrinthine streets of the Lanes; the grand Regency architecture of Hove seafront; the dramatic chalk cliffs at Seven Sisters; the wild expanses of the Downs. No other city has surroundings so varied and so unique.
