Artist Jim Denevan draws his latest sand art work, working against the tide as he battles the wind and sea to complete his art work in Half Moon Bay, California. Spiralling out from the centre in one continuous line, this example of sand art would stretch for 17 miles if it were unravelled…
…The work took five hours to complete and lasted only 15 minutes when finished as the incoming tide washed it away. Etched onto the sands of California’s Half Moon Bay by renowned land artist Jim Denevan, 49, the freehand drawing was done purely by eye and with no measuring aids of any kind.
