Comet's surface

These are the first images from Comet‘s surface, sent by Philae lander. The probe is sending data, but ESA isn’t sure where it landed or how long it’ll survive.

Above: Now that I’m safely on the ground, here is what my new home looks like from where I am.  

It’s dark in space, especially at the comet’s location about 280 million miles from the sun.
