G.fast is the Next Generation of DSL with speeds of up to 1000Mbp (1Gbps), over existing copper telephone lines.
G.fast uses 106 Mhz wide frequency range section of bandwidth, the same as Google Fiber, to deliver speeds up to 1Gbps.
The new standard will bring super-fast broadband speeds to the houses connected with copper wires.
G.fast is not perfect yet as its upper frequency range overlaps with the FM radio spectrum (87.5 to 108 MHz).
