Google Mars has been updated by including large parts from the Context Camera (CTX) on NASA’s Mars Reconnaissance Orbiter.
Google Mars has been available since 2009 as part of the free Google Earth, and now is the best way of to quickly view Mars data.
Each of the gray bands in the picture above represents one of CTX’s imaged areas, showing extent the coverage.
You can now zoom around the Red Planet in much higher resolution than older version and in certain locations in 3-D.
