Hurricane Adrian is a Category 3 hurricane with sustained winds of 115 knots off the west coast of Mexico, view from US National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) GOES satellite.

Hurricane Adrian is the first of the Pacific hurricane season. Conditions are favorable for further strengthening in the next 24 hours before the storm begins to be affected by stable air and cooler waters. Adrian is moving west northwest and should pose no problems for land. This image was taken by GOES-13 on June 9, 2011 at 1345Z.
