This power unit is much like the old Bolens where the power unit pulled a seat that had a suspension to make the ride comfortable. I believe this unit in the double version would make a great work vehicle. What the snowmobile trail grooming operations need is a unit that can operate on lakes and swamps , secondary and hard to get to trails. I don’t what the possibilitys of this unit are in regards to pulling a drag. A generator could be incorperated on the drag along with a seat to extend the range. A MAJOR problem in the snow grooming power units is the fact that these unit are getting too big and heavy causing trails to be moved to high ground and roads out of the swamps and off the lakes. These locations are the best areas to locate atrail systems because they are easier to maintain, they are not to subjected to less summer time atv/utv damage and they could be easier to obtain easements. We have seen development in construction equipment industry towards smaller equipment but not in the snow groomer unit area. If the UTV makers would develope a stronger drive line in some of their units and had the ability to track them up they would serve as a power unit. The direction that the snowmobile trail system moving towards and the size of this expensive equipment is redefining the definition of what a “snowmobile trail” is. The ability to operate in areas that are frozen, only in the winter is a major key to this trail system. From a environment stand point these are less impacted and when the snow melts our tracks are gone
