iPhone Blood pressure

French company Withings has announced the U.S. availability of its Blood Pressure Monitor, which it touts as the only “BP cuff in the world to connect directly into any iOS device.”

Withings is calling the Blood Pressure Monitor truly plug-and-play. Wrap the cuff around your arm, then plug the cable into your iPhone, iPod Touch, or iPad, and the Withings app automatically launches.

Just out this month for $129, the monitor wraps around the upper arm like any other, but it can plug directly into any iOS device, allowing the simple set of results (systolic, diastolic, and bpm) to be shared almost instantly. Put it on, plug it in, and the device self inflates and then deflates as soon as the readings are taken.

As easy as 1-2-3

Wrap the Blood Pressure Monitor around your arm and plug it into your iOS device. Based on your doctor’s advice, select either the single measurement mode or the 3-measures in a row mode in order to get a mean average. At the end of the measurement, the full results, including the Systole, Diastole and BPM, are saved on your iOS device, so you don’t have to worry about manually updating your health overview from day to day.
