The maglev train will link central Tokyo with Nagoya station, cutting current bullet train journey times from 90 to 40 minutes.
The train uses state-of-the-art technology, and Central Japan Railway Co aim to have an established track from Tokyo to Osaka by 2045.
Maglev train uses magnets to ‘float’ above the track meaning there is limited friction.
