Kepler space telescope finds 715 new worlds 1

NASA’s newly developed technique to spot new planets by using the Kepler space telescope, confirmed the existence of 715 exoplanets, including four that they are in habitable zone.    Watch the video…

The space agency new discovery raises the number of verified planets orbiting nearby stars, to nearly 1,700. Nearly 95 percent of these planets are smaller than Neptune, or about four times Earth’s size.

The Space Agency says many of the new finds are multiple-transiting planet systems, which are stars with more than one planet.

Kepler has opened up a new universe. Only about 20 years ago, we didn’t know if there were any other planets around any other stars besides our own, now we know we live in a galaxy that contains more planets than stars. Every star in our galaxy has on average 1.6 planets in orbit around it.
