The entire test ride was 25 minutes and the Maglev train is expected to be able to make the 32okm distance between Tokyo and Nagoya in 40 minutes, with service expected in 2027.
The test demonstrates ‘L-Zero’ technology, bringing the train to a speed of 160km/h, before activating the maglev system, which slowly brings the train up to amazing 500km/h speed.
