This is the proposal for the new National Art Museum of China in Beijing – NAMOC, by Beijing-based firm MAD architects.

The new building situated within the ‘art district’ on the central axis of the 2008 Olympic site, will replace the original structure of the National Art Museum built in 1962, that houses the largest art collection in China.
The proposal is organized as an open city in three layers.
