Pan African Games 2015 masterplan by IAD 1

This is the proposal for the Pan African Games 2015 in Brazzaville, Republic of the Congo, masterplan by Paris and Madrid based firm Independent Architectural Diplomacy, IAD.

IAD´s proposal features a stadium, an aquatic center, a sports hall, but also residences for the athletes as well as a hotel. The design for this project wanted to focus in the African traditions and crafts, hence the oblong shapes of the buildings, a reference to the African textiles and fabrics.
