In December 2011, the Polar Expedition Vehicle by Ian Nisbett Design will attempt to smash the Guinness World Record for the fastest Antarctic land crossing– exactly 100 years since the previous record holder’s accomplishment. The PEV also represents a new era in faster, more flexible polar exploration.
In December 2011 the three man team will set out in our revolutionary Polar Vehicle with the aim of beating the current Guinness World Record of 2 days, 21 hours and 21 minutes and become the fastest overland journey to the South Pole to mark the 100 year anniversary of the first successful attempt by Roald Amundsen.

The bio-fueled vehicle uses half the fuel of similar vehicles and also uses solar panels to further reduce its carbon footprint.
