Essica Dunn, a designer from Australia has designed the world’s first folding helmet, to fit inside a rucksack, called the Proteus.
The design has been short-listed for the James Dyson Award for Innovation, which carries a £10,000 prize for the winner to help with development of their product.
The idea came to her whilst on holiday in Indonesia when she had was faced with wearing damaged helmets or no helmets at all.
