Real Madrid football club have announced the construction of 430,000 square meter artificial island in United Arab Emirates. The project designed by J+H BOIFFILS, at an estimated cost of $1 Billion, will be ready by 2015.
“It is a decisive and strategic step that will strengthen our institution in the Middle East and Asia,” said Florentino Pérez, the Real president.
“Real Madrid Resort Island will be a major tourist and sporting centre of great dimensions and the highest level. This extraordinary complex will attract millions of people looking for quality leisure services.”
The artificial island is expected to attract around one million visitors in 2015.
