Rivers of molten lava

A surge of lava spews out from Kilauea Volcano’s high up Pulama Pali on Hawaii Island, four miles to the northwest and is heading down steep cliffs.

The rupture was at the 1600-foot elevation about four miles northwest of Kalapana Gardens.
