The MIT Media Lab is developing a ‘Sensory Fiction’ book which will let readers experience the physiological emotions of the protagonist and bring novels to life in a whole new way.

Using lights, colors and vibrations and a wearable vest, the ‘Sensory Fiction’ book creates an entirely new means of conveying plot, mood, and emotion. The wearable vest will be able to trigger changes in the reader’s heartbeat and temperature and create feelings of pressure, unease or anxiety by vibrating and constricting.
