Of course, assuming it has permanent magnets.. not all electric motors do.. and they are not the strongest motors.. they are usually single phase, direct current motors.. three phase AC current motors are the strongest.. but it is not efficient to convert battery DC to AC.. the switching looses any possible gain in work ability
