Architecture students at the University of technology Sydney worked in conjunction with their professors and offshore studio to develop ‘Southern skies earth and space centre’.
The building will enable the centre to act as an anchoring building for future socio-economic growth around it’s currently location, Orange Botanical Gardens. The planetarium is designed to activate and achieved a milestone for the Orange local precinct in New South Wales. It houses a 10 meter planetarium dome, with complementary programs including exhibition and function room.

The renderings look wonderful in both night images. It would be nice to see more interior views, plans and sections to really understand the design. It would also be interesting to learn about the design concept and thought behind the building form.
