Alain Robert, the French climber known as Spiderman, climbs the world’s tallest building, the 2,717 foot-tall (828 metre) Burj Khalifa in Dubai. His feat took just over six hours. Picture: AFP/GETTY
Wind delayed his ascent for several hours but didn’t stop him from successfully reaching the top of the tapered spire above the 160th floor of the building. Alain is famous for climbing buildings around the world, which he normally does just using his bare hands and climbing shoes. However, for this attempt he had to use a rope and harness in order to comply with safety regulations.
