Blitzortung.org is the free lightning detection and lightning location network with live lightning maps.

The participants of the network can use ELView (“Edmunds-Lightning-Viewer”) to observe the current lightning activities of our network. ELView is a compact Windows program that can also visualize the archive data. It is possible to implement own maps in ELView to display current lightning activities on home pages. In future, we will offer a web interface at “blitzortung.org”, where the users can design own maps with topographic informations.     blitzortung
