Tables of power project by Dutch photographer Jacqueline Hassink, that has visited some of the boardrooms of Europe’s largest and most important companies. Mercedes-Benz, The Tables of Power (1993-1995).
Hassink during mid 1990s, after requesting access to their spaces, finally went inside the boardrooms of the 40 largest multi-national corporations in Europe.
She explains:
“By photographing the most important corporate tables in Europe, the meeting places of companies’ boards of directors, I began mapping the centers of economic power. It was the first time in the history of Europe that these centers of power had been photographed and made public.”
