Eighteen years after the attack and explosion over Sahara desert, of the UTA flight 772 from Congo to Paris, on September 19th 1989, the families of those who perished, gathered at the crash site and built a memorial.

Les familles de l’attentat du DC-10 d’ UTA, the association of the 170 from 18 different nationalities victims’ families, built on-site using dark stones which created a 200ft diameter circle, a memorial for those deceased, visible from Google Earth.
