In this project, the designers developed a rib concept to create usable hybrid structures.
The whole library consists of 27 ribs made of prefabricated glue-laminated timber elements and CNC cut plywood boards.
An integrated passage brings the city life into and through the building.
In order to reduce the energy needs, two long facades of the existing structures were used to minimize the total surface of the exterior walls.
