Thanks to its unique airfoils, offers superior performance at a wide range of wind speeds.
The tips of the blades move at up to 80 meters per second, or 290 km/h (180 mph).
The mold used for the construction, had to consist of two parts so that it could be transported.
The rotor has a swept area of 18,600 square meters, the equivalent to almost two and a half soccer fields.
Has a 6MV capacity with a rotor diameter of 154 meters.
Siemens will be installing 300 new-generation wind turbines off Britain’s coast.
