Self-cleaning car

The world’s first self-cleaning car, uses an innovative paint technology by Nissan, that repels mud, rain and everyday dirt, meaning drivers may never have to clean their car again.

According to Nissan Technical Centre Europe, they applied a new “super-hydrophobic and oleophobic” paint, that repels water and oil, to a Nissan Versa Note hatchback, transforming it into a “self-cleaning car.”



The new coating, called Ultra-Ever Dry, allows a thin layer of air to separate the “painted surface from the rest of the environment,” making it more difficult for dirt to stick.
