Toyota has separated the Century name from its main lineup, turning it into its own brand – one positioned above Lexus as the company’s new ultra-luxury division.

The Century Coupe prototype is a high-riding grand tourer featuring a long hood, sliding doors instead of traditional ones, and a sleek fastback roofline – a hallmark of elegant design.

The Toyota Century is a full-size luxury sedan that has long served as the brand’s flagship model in Japan, favored by the emperor and other prominent figures.

Aiming to deliver a truly bespoke “One of One” experience, Century showcased this striking new coupe at the Japan Mobility Show earlier this week, drawing plenty of attention for its bold departure from Toyota’s usual creations and its ambition to rival Rolls-Royce and Bentley.
