Peugeot is preparing to bring its Hypersquare steering wheel with steer-by-wire technology into production.
The company has already started testing early prototypes, signaling that this futuristic setup is moving closer to a real-world car.

Rather than treating new ideas as concepts only, Peugeot is actively working to turn them into production-ready technology.
The French automaker now plans to combine steer-by-wire with the striking square-shaped Hypersquare steering wheel in the next-generation Peugeot 208, aiming to rethink how drivers interact with the car.

Almost three years after first revealing the Hypersquare in early 2023, Peugeot has entered an intensive testing phase and is collecting feedback from journalists. The idea was first introduced with the Inception Concept, which previewed Peugeot’s vision for future interiors.
