BMW Vision Root Coupe concept, inspired by the 2002 model, that since its introduction, BMW’s design language has evolved multiple times.

For the final design Li Ding explains, the headlamp of the classic 2002 race car, featuring the distinctive “X”-shaped tape, is a key influence. This motif is reimagined as the main Daytime Running Lamp graphic, giving the vehicle a unique and recognizable identity.

The traditional BMW double kidney grille has been refined into two sleek vertical lines, presenting a modern front end. Below the grille, a wide air flap echoes the original 2002 design. These elements are framed by a staple-shaped outer panel seamlessly transitioning into the bodyside panel.
