ForestGuard is a fire detection system to identify potential forest wildfires quickly.
ForestGuard 2.0 was designed by Suat Batuhan Esirger and Rana Imam and aims to protect forests from wildfires using its award-winning, IoT-based, satellite-connected technology providing real-time detection.
ForestGuard sensors are attached to tree trunks with elastic straps, allowing tree growth without damage. They are also flexible to prevent harm to the environment.

Installed at a height of 3 meters, each device can monitor an area of about 16 hectares. They use machine-learning algorithms to accurately identify smoke sources.
