The modern Škoda 1000 MBX concept car features foldable cinema-style seats that let users easily store a bike, gear, or luggage in the passenger area.
Designed by interior designer David Stingl, the 2+2 seating layout allows for a highly flexible cabin. The front seats can merge into a bench, creating an open space between the driver and passenger, while the rear seats fold up like theater chairs. This clever setup enables the car to switch effortlessly from a sporty two-seater coupe to a practical cargo vehicle—without requiring the removal or addition of any parts.

Inside, the dashboard includes a glass-covered oval display that projects images, reflecting Stingl’s creative touch. The oval theme continues throughout the cabin, appearing on the steering wheel, headrests, and other details.

David Stingl explains: “The concept car even features air suspension, allowing the ground clearance to be adjusted: low for a sporty stance or high for tackling rough paths and easier cargo loading.”
