Northrop Grumman just revealed a new concept image of its F/A-XX fighter, and it looks a lot like a modern, sixth-generation take on the famous YF-23.
The US Navy’s secretive F/A-XX program is now a little clearer thanks to this release, which offers a glimpse at the company’s proposed carrier-based jet design.

That’s a fascinating design! The YF-23 similarities are definitely striking. It makes you wonder about the performance characteristics they’re prioritizing – stealth, speed, maneuverability? Seeing this makes me almost want to jump back into some virtual drifting to get that adrenaline rush. Speaking of drifting, anyone else play Drift Hunters and imagine their car is a futuristic fighter jet tearing up the track? This new design has me thinking about what future racing sims might look like! Really interesting to see the direction they’re taking.
