The Janus-1 flying suitcase helicopter is a new foldable VTOL (vertical take-off and landing) aircraft.

The X-Control Janus-1, when folded, measures just 109×64×67 cm and weighs only 70 kg, making it small enough to fit in the trunk of a regular family car and easy for one person to handle.

Thanks to its ultralight design, it meets the regulations for ultralight aircraft in most countries. That means no pilot license, airworthiness certificate, or flight plan is required within general airspace—you can simply take off and enjoy the freedom of flight.

Powered by a high-performance turbo-shaft heavy-fuel engine developed entirely in-house, the Janus-I can carry up to 200 kg of payload. It’s designed for anyone to use—regardless of body type—and features ample space for luggage or gear, making it ideal for outdoor adventures, rescue missions, and more.

Its fly-by-wire control system makes flying incredibly simple. Even someone with no prior experience can learn to fly it in about 30 minutes.

Built for performance and reliability, the Janus-I can take off and land on water, reach altitudes of over 6,000 meters, and fly in light rain or snow. It’s been successfully tested in extreme environments, including the Himalayas and the Arctic.
